YOU AND I
The Apostle Peter in the beginning of his second letter wrote: “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, …..”
While driving into work today I was listening to a CHBC Celebration Choir CD. The song entitled, “Made to Worship” brought these thoughts to my mind. Before God brought the world into existence His plan was to have a personal relationship with man whom He would make in His own image. We are the result of God’s love,therefore you and I have a purpose in life. The song tells us what some of that purpose is. “You and I are made to Worship. You and I are called to Love. You and I are Forgiven and Free”. When you and I embrace Jesus Christ and surrender our will to Him then you and I will see what God meant for us to be. “He (God) has filled our hearts with wonder so that we always remember”. May you and I always remember that we at CHBC exist to imitate Jesus Christ by sharing His love through embracing East Knoxville and the world? DRC
